Michael Malloy Sensei began training in 1992 under an unaffiliated Dojo in traditional Japanese martial arts. At the age of 17 Michael Sensei started teaching martial arts at that same unaffiliated dojo he also taught self defense at a local community center. With a burning desire to find a true martial arts Master and after many years of searching, he found an official Genbukan dojo. Michael Sensei is now a direct student under Shihan Gary Giamboi and currently holds the ranks of:
- Sandan (3rd dan) in Ninpo Taijutsu
- Sandan (3rd dan) in KJJR Jujutsu
- Mugen Shinto Ryu Iaijutsu Shoden Menkyo
